RAF yellow stripes and lettering

Quick Look: RAF Yellow Stripes & Lettering Decal Sheet (1/76 – 1/72) from Kingfisher Miniatures.

I’ve just uploaded a short video taking a closer look at a decal sheet of RAF yellow stripes and lettering (1/76–1/72 scale) from Kingfisher Miniatures.

Ordering and delivery were straightforward and quick, with no issues at all. The sheet itself cost £3.50 (price as of November 2020), plus £1.20 postage, which is very reasonable for what you get.

These decals should be perfect for any 1/76 or 1/72 scale vehicles I build in the future. At the moment, I’ve got an Airfix 1/76 LWB Land Rover nearly finished, so you’ll see that in the video as an example.

Speaking of Airfix, I know I’ve said this before, but it would be fantastic if they re-issued some of the old JB kits, especially the Land Rovers. Fingers crossed it might happen one day.

The video is only a quick one, but it should give you a good idea of how these RAF yellow stripes and lettering look in detail.

I hope you found the video helpful!

I’m always on the lookout for good vehicle kits to accompany my Cold War aircraft, AFVs, and figures.

What kits, or even diecast models, do you like to use for Cold War era vehicles, especially the soft-skin types? I’d love to hear your recommendations in the comments.

RAF LWB Land Rover and HS Buccaneer SB.2. (Bruntingthorpe open day). A good example of RAF yellow stripes and lettering.

Now that I’ve got the yellow stripes and lettering, I think it’s about time I invested in the KD63 Union Flags for Vehicles set and the KD66 RAF 6 inch Roundel for vehicles set as well.

Once I pick those up, I’ll put together another short post to share my thoughts on them.
