‘The Troubles’ Northern Ireland in 1/72 scale
This is just a little diorama that I created using a 1/72 scale model Alvis FV603 Saracen and two British Army figures kitted out for their tour in Northern Ireland circa 1970.
The FV603 Saracen and figures came from a company originally called Badger 3D and then Osiris Models. Sadly, both no longer exist, but the owner of what was Osiris Models is currently looking for a buyer (September 2025).
Because they were 3D printed, the parts were very fragile, and infact I had to repair and replace parts as they broke off, or I broke them trying to cut them from the printed support frame.
The Street light was purchased from an Etsy seller. Etsy is always worth a look for 3D printed diorama accessories.
The base was made from XPS foam and some plastic card.
Anyway, a simple little diorama, depicting not so good a time in British history/politics.
